The 2008 tour season
We have an exciting season ahead in 2008! Winter is finally releasing its grip, and the riding season is just around the corner. Our tour schedule is in place. Please have a look on our "Tours" page to see what would best work for you. In addition to the currently scheduled tours, we'd like to do a vintage bike tour, for those of you with old iron. We're big on vintage British and European bikes, and once in a while it's great to leave the modern stuff at home and experience motorcycle touring with a nostalgic flavor. If you are interested in participating in a vintage iron tour, please contact us. We offer a group discount for clubs, and can put together a custom tour for groups of four or more. We can arrange to ship your vintage bikes safely and securely, and we have room to carry spares and tools in our support trailer. |

Stayin' Safe Training
We are happy to announce that we will again be offering a tour with optional Stayin' Safe rider training this year. The Stayin Safe Motorcycle Training (SSMT) curriculum developed by Larry Grodsky offers riders of nearly every experience level a fun opportunity to learn visual strategies and techniques for smoother cornering and safer riding through real world, on-road training. The program, consisting of two half-day sessions with instructor Pete Tamblyn, will be offered during our 5-day High Country Tour, July 22-26, 2008. Pete's been riding since the age of velocipedes, and has led tours and trained riders on several continents. He is the editor of the recently published "STAYIN' SAFE: The Art and Science of Riding Really Well" (Whitehorse Press), a compilation of Lawrence Grodsky's monthly columns in Rider magazine. Training is done in small groups, so be sure to sign up early. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn from one of the best. It's the perfect way to improve your riding skills in a thrilling yet friendly format! |

Dual Sport Tours
Colorado is rich with old mining roads and jeep trails accessible to riders with varying skill levels and reasonably capable on/off road bikes, and a number of riders have asked us to put together a dual sport tour. We're planning to offer a dual sport tour in late July/early August, and as always, we're happy to design a custom tour for groups of four or more.
We're currently working with a local outfit to offer dual sport rental bikes, though it's often best to ride your own.
If you haven't seen Colorado off road, you haven't really seen Colorado! Contact us to discuss dual sport touring. |

Dr. Dookey is here
Recently we were approached by prominent motorcycle therapist Dr. Dookey, to provide a venue for him to provide pro bono counseling services to motorcyclists in distress. After due consideration, we agreed to provide a page for the doctor's advice column. You'll see a button on our home page labeled "consult Dr Dookey." This is a clickable button that will take you to Dr. Dookey's page. If you have a question or issue for Dr. Dookey, use the clickable contact button on that page and email him directly. Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Tours, LLC has no connection with Dr. Dookey, and opinions expressed on the page we have provided for him are not necessarily those of Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Tours, LLC. |
