Hot Dog Stand WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE TOURS?

Our Custom Tours include lodging all nights during the tour. All meals are on us. We even pay for your gasoline! In other words, our custom tour fee is ALL-INCLUSIVE.
We provide pickup and drop off service at Denver International Airport for tour participants who fly in, and can help with bike arrangements (rental or shipping.)
An experienced tour guide leads each day’s ride and provides daily route maps, advice and information on unique local features, history and culture along the way.
Custom tours may include a support vehicle to carry luggage and supplies, and our secure, enclosed trailer is capable of carrying one or two motorcycles in case of breakdown or other problem. We have the capability to carry passengers in the support vehicle, though why anyone would prefer an air-conditioned car to the pillion seat is beyond me. (Support vehicle and enclosed trailer may not be available for Independence Tours or camping trips)

Beans fueling the grill WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?

We do not provide motorcycles or riding gear, but can point you toward sources for same. Tour participants are responsible for their own motorcycles, any adult beverages, and transportation to and from Colorado.

Storm rolling in WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

You will need a valid motorcycle license, a motorcycle capable of traveling at highway speeds and insurance covering your motorcycle. You should carry funds to cover fuel, lunch and incidentals. Layered clothing is wise, given Colorado’s wide climatic variations. Rain gear is prudent, sunscreen essential. A bathing suit will come in handy for dips in a hot spring or tub, swimming or rafting on discretionary days. Pack a sweater or light jacket for star-gazing after dinner.
Ophir Pass WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT WEATHER, CLIMATE, ELEVATION?

Mostly, that you can and should expect every kind of weather. Most of our riding is at elevations between 6,000 and 10,000 feet, with a number of passes considerably higher. The highest paved road in Colorado is more than 14,000 feet above sea level!
Temperatures can fluctuate dramatically with elevation, time of day and weather conditions, so you’ll want to layer your clothing and riding gear.
Our low relative humidity and hot sun demand respect. Wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water while on tour.
While Colorado is sunny and semi-arid, summer afternoons in the mountains often see brief but dramatic thunderstorms. So rain gear is a must!
Mob Scene CAN MY GROUP SIGN UP FOR A GUIDED TOUR?

Yes. We can put together a custom guided tour for groups of three to eight, with larger groups under special circumstances. Please contact us to discuss a custom tour for your group.
Rico Motel WHERE WILL WE STAY WHILE ON TOUR?

By and large, our accommodations are less fancy than their urban counterparts - downright rustic, sometimes. Such is life in Colorado’s quiet mountain hamlets and small towns. But we only patronize and recommend clean, well-run establishments with real beds and running water!*
*Some tours may include camping or other accommodations, as noted in tour descriptions
wildflowers HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Couldn’t be easier! Have a look at our "Upcoming Tours" page and choose one of our tours. If you don’t see a tour that meets your needs, we will design a tour specifically for you, taking into consideration your preferences, riding style and any other considerations to optimize your vacation trip.
